Our Vision at Hope

At Hope we seek to share life in Jesus. We do that by growing and giving.

We Grow

We grow as we learn. We love to hear what God says in his Word, the Bible.

We grow as we pray and praise. We rely on God and delight in him, in prayer and praise.

We Give

We give as we share the Gospel. We share his message, because everyone needs to hear about Jesus.

We give as we serve each other. We serve and care as we express Jesus’ love.

All growing results in giving, and all giving is the fruit of growth. Sharing life in Jesus means growing in him so that we then express what he has given to us.

When it all began

We began as a small number of members in 2011 after our Senior Pastor Lewis Allen was called to leave a pastorate at Gunnersbury Baptist Church, West London, and plant the church in Huddersfield, with a passion to share life in Jesus in the town and region. Since then we have grown into a community of believers, worshipping together on Sundays and encouraging each other throughout the week. We have a desire to help people in Huddersfield become followers of Jesus with us.

Please get in touch if you have any questions.

We are part of The FIEC

The FIEC’s mission is to see independent churches working together with a big vision: to reach Britain for Christ.

Being part of FIEC links us to a growing number of Independent evangelical churches and there are now more than 50,000 people who are part of churches affiliated to FIEC. If you would like to find out more about The Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches.

Spen Valley Church Partnership

As of January 2021, Hope Church is in a three-year partnership with Spen Valley Church, based in Cleckheaton. We believe that both churches can help support and encourage one another in different ways, and our prayer is that our Heavenly Father might use this partnership to extend the kingdom of the Lord Jesus, by the power of his Spirit.

Spen Valley Church is a church plant which took root in Cleckheaton in late 2017, and the church has a big heart to reach the town and valley. You can find out all about Spen Valley Church on their website, and if you would like to visit or support Spen, do be in touch.
